From Home, or Not From Home?

UH President David Lassner recently addressed the question of when UH employees should return to the office. In a June 26 email, he noted, “We are beginning to bring employees back to our campuses in a phased manner to address essential functions, including preparation for the start of the fall semester in August. Some employees have already returned to their campus, and supervisors are calling others back in July.”

However, he also directed, “If you are not contacted by your supervisor and have had no change in your personal circumstances, you should continue your current work arrangements during the month of July. Decisions on working arrangements continue to be made at the unit level.”

Employees working on campus and in the field should continue following health and safety procedures as recommended by health authorities and state and county orders.

Please note: Employees who are still working from home must visit the online leave system and select the “COVID-19 Work From Home” option for as long as they continue.
