Jinan Banna (HNFAS) has been selected as a Fulbright specialist to work with the Universidad Veritas in San Jose, Costa Rica, where she will be training faculty in course development. Universidad Veritas offers a specialization in sustainability, and Jinan will provide training so that they will be able to offer several courses in nutrition. According to the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, Fulbright specialists are “a diverse group of highly experienced, well-established faculty members and professionals who represent a wide variety of academic disciplines and professions. In order to be eligible to serve as a Fulbright Specialist, candidates must have significant experience in their respective professional field.” They’re lucky to have Jinan!
