Taste of Ag
The Taste of the Hawaiian Range is returning to its agricultural roots and taking on a more family-friendly focus this year. It will consist of a free day-long ag festival, including farm tours and fun and educational activities for keiki, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., followed by a Cooking Pasture-Raised Beef 101 Demo from 2:30 to 4 p.m. and the familiar and much-anticipated evening food-tasting gala from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. It’s all happening at the YMCA Minuke Ole Park and Mana Christian Ohana in Waimea, Hawai‘i Island, on Saturday, September 29. Educational exhibitors offering agriculture and food sustainability information are invited to apply to participate in the agriculture festival—for more information, contact County administrator Susan Miyasaka at miyasaka@hawaii.edu before July 31, or go to the event website
