Description:
This is a graduate level course on mineral nutrition of plants with an emphasis on tropical crops. Students are expected to have a basic knowledge of plant nutrition gained through TPSS/ NREM 475 Plant Nutrient Diagnosis in the Tropics. Those students who haven't taken TPSS/ NREM 475 could read the course textbook and/ or go to TPSS 475 Resources (see tab above) and watch course videos. In this course, students will learn how to: a) access and critically evaluate current literature on plant nutrition; b) write a research proposal in the area of plant nutrition; c) conduct a plant nutrition experiment, statistically analyze data, and write results for publication; and d) develop a narrated, online digital poster presentation.
