Recruitment Season is in Full Swing!

Student Ambassador, Lian Huang, presented CTAHR to the McKinley High School Future Farmers of America Club and Health Sciences Directed Studies students. McKinley is looking towards expanding their Natural Resources Career Pathway from Aquaculture and Plant Systems to include classes in Animal Sciences. 

UHM held it’s Accepted Student Reception for parents and students who have yet to decide which program to major in or whether to commit to UH in the Fall. It was an opportunity to browse student services, academic programs, and get excited about all the wonderful opportunities  at UHM.  ASAO staff was on hand to meet over 800 parents and students.

Academic Advisors attended inter-island college fairs on Kauai, Maui, and on the Big Island (Kona, Waimea, and Hilo).  The fairs culminated with the National College Fair at the Hawaii Convention Center hosting 3,000 students over the course of 6 hours.  Academic Advisors Maile Sing and Martin Motooka was accompanied by Student Ambassadors Mark Oandasan (FDM) and Cody Ching (ANSC). “That was so much fun!”, said Cody when asked how she thought the went.
