Our amazing CTAHR Ambassadors helped students, staff and faculty enjoy a fun-filled Halloween day, October 31st, with our annual Fall Fair on Gilmore Lawn. Ambassadors engaged participants in a variety of fall-themed activities including a costume contest, planting activity, invasive species dodgeball (Manny was in full beast mode!), Halloween cookie decorating, an Arts & Crafts affirmation board, lawn games and Halloween Trivia.
Participants received a card to get stamps at the different activities and received a pencil bag and candy / snacks as a reward for getting 5 stamps. It was wonderful seeing everyone laughing and enjoying a break from their daily routines.
Costume Contest participants were judged in 3 categories: Best Faculty / Staff Costume, Scariest Student Costume, Cutest Student Costume and Most Creative Student Costume. There was definitely some great competition between costumes such as a scary skeleton lord, raging T-Rex, lovable Ken (high-fives to Dr. Jenkins), a punny Cereal Killer, lovely fairy princess and fabulous Bacteria Brigade.
With over 180 votes cast we are excited to announce the winners…drum roll please…
- Best Faculty / Staff Costume: Sarah Mannschatz as Luffy from One Piece
- Scariest Student Costume: Socheatha Tork as the Roach
- Cutest Student Costume: Kyra Tanoue as Agnes from Despicable Me
- Most Creative Student Costume: Michael Tong as Toji & Gyarados Cursed Spirit
Congratulations to the winners! Each wins a swag bag full of CTAHR goodies and chocolate.
