October has been a busy month filled with lots of events! Bayer joined us for our monthly Career Launch and provided insights on job opportunities and internships. The FoodStack Grab and Go continued to be a hit with students, with fresh produce from the Urban Garden Center Fruit Hui and the Coalition to Stop Campus Hunger, with pantry items from Aloha Harvest and SAPFB. FSHN Instructor Lara Hackney shared delicious Halloween themed recipes of Popcorn Balls, Witch's Fingers, and Mummy Dogs in our monthly cooking show. The Coalition to Stop Campus Hunger is hosting a Static Hydroponics Webinar on Friday, November 5th at 5 PM. Limited free kits are still availalble for students. Faculty, staff, and the community may register to receive a list of supplies or may purchase a kit for $15. All kits must be picked up by Tuesday November 2nd.
CTAHR's Alumni and Friends is hosting an online plant sale from October 28th-November 4th. Purchase or bid on plants online and pick up, with contactless delivery to your vehicle, at UH Manoa, Gilmore Lawn on Sunday November 6th from 9 am - 12 pm.
CTAHR's Career Launch with the Hawaiian Host Group will be on Wednesday, November 10th at 5 pm. Register to hear about the variety of career opportunities available.
