You’ve heard about the great interdisciplinary project the Symphony of the Hawaiian Birds, spearheaded by Melissa Price (NREM), but all the previous performances have been reserved for schoolchildren. Now at last comes the event you’ve been waiting for: a performance open to the public! The Symphony brings together music, art, Native Hawaiian culture, and ecological awareness to celebrate the Islands’ native bird species. Find out more at the Hawaii Symphony Orchestra page and the event Facebook page. The first performance of the Symphony of the Hawaiian Birds for the general public will take place on November 14 at 7 p.m. It’s just $15 for adults and $5 for students with student ID, so be there...or be birdless!
