Pesticide Protection

Registration is free, and four HDOA Pesticide CEUs will be offered for the last CTAHR workshop of this calendar year: the 2022 CTAHR Pesticide Safety and Education Workshop.

Held on Dec. 14 on Kona and Dec. 15 in Waimea on the Big Island (content is same on both days), the workshop will be coordinated by Zhiqiang Cheng of the Dept. of Plant and Environmental Protection Sciences and Andrea Kawabata of the Dept. of Tropical Plant and Soil Sciences. They will be joined by Dr. Kerry Richards of Phoenix Consulting Agricultural Safety and Health. Topics will include:

• Reducing potential pesticide exposure
• Worker Protection Standard (WPS) Compliance Assistance
• Understanding the Pesticide Label
• Invasive Species
