The Center for Tropical and Subtropical Aquaculture has released its latest Project Impacts publication to highlight the accomplishments of the CTSA and its funded projects.

This eye-catching booklet serves as an update to Project Impacts released a decade ago, and focuses on the impact of CTSA projects since 2013.

The 24-page booklet contains two main sections. The Introduction section presents data and statistics about the growing role of aquaculture in the region and across the globe, while the Project Impacts section contains detailed updates on several CTSA-funded projects. The publication features 14 University of Hawai?i projects, including 10 projects led by CTAHR researchers.

“A genuine interest in establishing a consistent, safe food supply with minimal environmental impact has emerged among the general public,” notes the CTSA Board of Directors. “CTSA is capitalizing on this momentum and making lasting and valuable contributions to aquatic food production and marine conservation across the Pacific region and beyond.”

CTSA is one of five regional aquaculture centers in the U.S. established by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The regional aquaculture centers integrate individual and institutional expertise and resources in support of commercial aquaculture development.
