Congrats to Kent Kobayashi of the Dept. of Tropical Plant and Soil Sciences, who was chosen to be the next consulting editor of Urban Horticulture and Controlled Environments in HortTechnology.
Kent’s appointment, which was unanimous by the HortTechnology Editorial Board, begins January 1 for a three-year term. He will be responsible for reviewing each manuscript for scientific content and overall readability, supplying the editor-in-chief with the names of qualified potential reviewers, and advising the editor-in-chief as needed.
The position reflects recognition for his work in urban horticulture and controlled environment agriculture and as a reviewer of journal manuscripts. Previously, Kent was elected a 2016 Fellow of the American Society for Horticultural Science and recipient of its 2020 Peer Review Award for his outstanding contributions as a peer reviewer of manuscripts.
