The UHM ISPP requires all students to have health insurance.

The UHM ISPP requires access to a vehicle. Students are required to provide their own transportation to all rotation sites in Hawai'i. The student must have vehicle insurance. The UHM ISPP is not liable for any accidents or injuries that occur while the student is  en route to or at planned learning experiences.

Housing and meal costs are the responsibility of the student. The UHM ISPP does not provide or arrange for housing for students. Arrangements can be made through the Office of Student Affairs.

Withdrawal and Refund of Tuition and Course Fees (2020 and prior)

How to Get a Refund

If you pay by cash or check, a refund is deposited directly into your eRefund (electronic refund) account or mailed to your current mailing address on file.

If students paid by credit card within the past 90 days, the credit card may be credited the refund amount in the order of credit card used. For payments older than 90 days, a refund will be deposited into your eRefund (electronic refund) account or mailed to the student’s current mailing address on file.

Tuition and special course fees are refunded as indicated below:

    • A 100 percent refund of tuition for complete withdrawal or decrease in credits made on or before the 10th calendar day of the semester, unless otherwise stipulated by federal regulations.
    • A 50 percent refund of tuition for complete withdrawal or decrease in credits made between the 11th to the 21st calendar days of the semester, unless otherwise stipulated by federal regulations.
    • No refunds of tuition for complete withdrawal or decrease in credits from the 22nd calendar day of the semester (start of the 4th week of instruction), unless otherwise stipulated by federal regulations.

Refunds for check or cash payments are mailed and refunds for charge payments are credited to the account originally charged. Refunds may take 4 to 6 weeks to process.
