Language Cards and Audio Files

There are two language cards - one with basic vocabulary and greetings the other, common nutrition and cooking terms.

The basic vocabulary cards were developed by PREL (Pacific Resources for Education and Learning). The nutrition and cooking terms were added by EFNEP (Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program) staff from the Pacific region.

The cards are provided with English translations and phonetic pronunciations.

Cards: Print out the card before you listen to the audio files. The phonetic pronunciations may be useful.

Audio Files: Use them to practice your language skills by listening to audio files of the greetings and nutrition and cooking terms.

Language Activity: Test your understanding by listening to a conversation and then take the quiz.

PRINTING TIP: Each page contains 4 identical cards. The Greetings and Nutrition & Cooking Terms should be able to be printed back-to-back.
