Carbon on the Range
Congratulations to graduate student Nicholas Krueger (NREM), who has been selected to receive the ARCS Foundation’s Helen Jones Farrar Award in Tropical Agriculture for 2018! He will talk about his research into measuring soil carbon stocks in Hawaiian rangelands at the ARCS Scholar Presentation on Saturday, April 14, 9 a.m.–noon in POST 723. Nick is one of nine UH doctoral candidates from various disciplines who will receive $5,000 ARCS Scholar awards at the organization’s banquet on May 7.
