CTAHR Florals Welcome New UH President

CTAHR Florals Welcome New UH President

CTAHR faculty and staff again demonstrated their exceptional talent and dedication during the inaugural campus visit of Wendy Hensel, the new UH President. Floral arrangements designed by Dr. Tessie Amore were presented center stage, adding beauty and elegance to the occasion.

The beautiful displays were made possible through a generous contribution from Green Point Nursery, whose vibrant and high-quality blooms provided the perfect canvas for Dr. Amore’s artistry. Special thanks go to Eric Tanouye and Thong Teng Neo of Green Point Nurseries, who graciously donated the anthuriums—all four varieties in the arrangement are UH-developed.

Green Point Nurseries serves as CTAHRʻs anthurium evaluation cooperator and is a valued member of the CTAHR ‘ohana. We are truly grateful for their ongoing support of the University of Hawai‘i and CTAHR.

The organizers extended their gratitude to Dr. Amore and the entire CTAHR team for their time and effort in making the event memorable. “Words cannot express how grateful we are for the beautiful floral arrangements that were provided for us. It was a special honor and privilege to showcase our very own CTAHR creations at this event,” the message read. “Your contributions added a special touch and meaning to our welcome for President Hensel.”

CTAHR continues to be an integral part of the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa, through our research and education and our ability to bring people together in meaningful ways. Mahalo to Dr. Amore, Green Point Nursery, and all those who helped make the event a success!
