Keeping Data Safe

For many of us, the COVID-19 pandemic has caused a shift in our work environments, from offices to homes and from physical classrooms to virtual ones. We’re adjusting to different technologies and tools that allow us to work remotely. This impacts the way we need to think about personal privacy and data security and how we can better protect our data assets and our University community.

The Information Technology Services and Data Governance Office is giving a webinar focusing on data security and privacy issues related to working remotely, including new cyber threats and scams; privacy considerations, such as FERPA and Zoom classes; and data handling and security.

Attend the webinar on Friday, April 17, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Register here, and webinar connection information will be emailed to all registered participants.

If you can’t attend but would like to be contacted when the recording becomes available, please register and indicate so. Questions? Email datagov@hawaii.edu.

Note: If you’re having problems registering, please check that you are using the same browser that you are logged into with your hawaii.edu account and logged out of all other accounts.
