New Faces: Marielle Hampton

Marielle Hampton started on Monday, August 19, as a temporary FCS junior agent in Kona. She will be focusing on youth development and intergenerational programs, helping clients all the way across the lifespan.

Marielle is well versed in more than one of CTAHR’s areas of focus, having earned her master’s degree in Nutrition: Agriculture, Food and Environment from the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy from Tufts University in May 2019. She comes to CTAHR most recently from The Kohala Center, where she worked as an agriculture development intern, conducting local farmer needs assessment and outreach for food hub facility upgrades, and the Hawaii Macadamia Nut Association, organizing workshops and creating educational materials. And from 2013 to 2017, she worked for the Hamakua Agricultural Cooperative, helping to develop farm business plans and handling a website and social media outreach. Now she’ll be bringing her talents to new clientele on the Big Island. Welcome to CTAHR HI County, Marielle!
