Human Nutrition, Food and Animal Sciences graduate student Nirvay Sah received the Certificate of Excellence for the best research and presentation award in the Physiology and Reproduction section at the 2018 Poultry Science Association (PSA) meeting in San Antonio, Texas. The assocation is an international organization dedicated to advancing the poultry industry and disseminating basic and applied poultry research.

Nirvay (right) also received a 2018 PSA Graduate Student Travel Award for $1,000, which allowed him to attend the conference. He is working towards his master’s degree in Animal Sciences under the mentorship of Birendra Mishra (left). His MS project is “Transcriptional Regulation of Egg Formation in the Oviduct of Laying Hens.”
