Stay-at-Home Extended

UH President David Lassner advised the UH community of Gov. David Ige’s new COVID-19 Emergency Order extending the current “stay-at-home” directives through May 31. In accordance with this directive, UH System is extending all current approaches to learning, teaching, working, conducting research, and supporting its campuses and communities through the end of May.

UH employees will be able to submit their COVID-19 work-from-home requests for the month of May starting on April 29 in the online leave system.

President Lassner continued, “We are now beginning to plan, even under this high level of uncertainty, how we will extend operations through the summer and into the fall in a manner that ensures we can provide high quality education to the people of Hawai‘i while protecting the health and safety of our students and employees. More information on these plans will be shared in the weeks to come.”

He ended, “Mahalo for your continued support of each other and our state. We are in this together and we will come out of this together—better, stronger and wiser.”
