Simply Superb Symposium

The 30th annual CTAHR Student Research Symposium (for the last eight years, the CTAHR/COE Student Research Symposium) was held April 6 and 7 in the Ag Sci building, featuring 148 oral and poster presentations. If you didn’t get to go, you can download the program at the Symposium homepage or check out photos. Symposium topics spanned engineering, production agriculture, environmental technologies, health and food sciences, family and consumer sciences, and natural sciences, and the caliber of the students’ work was truly amazing! Thank-yous go to those whose hard work made this event successful, including the student participants and faculty advisors/mentors, the judges and moderators, the staff and student volunteers, and the members of the Symposium Coordinating Committee (see page 72 of the program). Special thanks go to SAPFB, ASAO, and USDA-NIFA for funding most of this event. The SRS winners will be recognized at CTAHR’s 30th Annual Awards Banquet, so make sure you come cheer them on!
