Memory Care

Failing memory, disorientation, and the other symptoms of dementia and Alzheimer’s can be as hard on family members and other loved ones as they are on those with the disease. Michael Cheang, associate professor at Human Development and Family Studies, will be presenting a workshop on different strategies to communicate more effectively with elders who have Alzheimer’s disease. He’ll also explain the similarities and differences between dementia and Alzheimer’s.

Two sessions of the workshop will be held. On Monday, November 4, it is offered from 11:45 to 1:15 in the Queen Lili‘uokalani Center for Student Services 412. On Thursday, November 7, it’s from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. in Webster Hall 113. For more details and to register, please click on this link. Registration is limited, so hurry and sign up!
