Landscape Management

The Ornamentals and Landscape Management Extension Program at UGC offers training, workshops, and educational materials and events to support the green industry in Hawaii. The program works closely with organizations that represent the various sectors of the green industry. Examples of areas of work: workforce development, strengthening the lei industry, edible plants and fruit trees in landscaping, pesticide safety, and management of invasive species in the urban landscape.


UPCOMING WORKSHOP: COCONUT RHINOCEROS BEETLE TRAINING SESSION

February 11 at the UH Waimanalo Research Station

This Coconut Rhinoceros Beetle (CRB) training will be hosted by the CRB Response and CTAHR Cooperative Extension to provide information on treatments and updates on CRB in Hawaii.

This training will focus on Waimanalo/Windward side to cover:

-Basic Biology and Identification

-Best Management Practices

-Palm Treatments

-Breeding Site Treatments
