If you would like to join the Spring 2026 Master Gardener course, click the link below to apply. Deadline to apply is November 30, 2025. Applicants will be notified of acceptance by early January.

The UH Master Gardener Program on O'ahu hosts its introductory training class every Friday (except holidays), 9AM -1PM from February – May and hands-on project sessions on weekdays. Please click on the link to view our 2025 MG Course Invitation to Apply and read through our program requirements. If accepted into the program as a volunteer of the University of Hawai‘i Master Gardener Program, you will sign a contract with us to fulfill 50 volunteer hours within the first year of completing the training course (June 2025-May 2026), that includes 30 community service hours.

Bring your home gardener question to our “Got a Plant Question”/ Plant doctor table at the Kapiolani Community College (KCC) farmers market on the last Saturday of the month. Purchase UH Vegetable Seeds for your home garden!
Tips: When bringing plant samples with suspected plant disease be sure to bring new leaves AND old leaves, include flowers or fruits that show symptoms. - Learn to Worm Ohana, Vermicomposting is gaining in popularity across Oʻahu as concerned citizens of all ages discover the fascination of cultivating a colony of composting worms. Worms turn garbage into gold by eating household food waste and producing vermicast, a superior soil amendment ideal for all kinds of gardens, potted plants, landscaping and lawn. Join a workshop at UGC or at the Magoon Research Station in Mānoa.
