Alumna Taylor Rose Mendiola, who graduated from FDM in 2017, made it into the June 2018 issue of Vanity Fair UK for her swimwear line Rose Swim. The collection, which is designed in O‘ahu, has “dainty and fun pieces made from high-quality materials,” says the article, “designed to be both functional and feminine whilst making you feel confident.”

Want to make starting school easier for a first-year student? Consider becoming part of the Hānai Host Mentor program at UH. This is a pilot program of host families who are willing to “hānai” one or more incoming students and serve as a point of contact and informal support network for them.

The Taste of the Hawaiian Range is returning to its agricultural roots and taking on a more family-friendly focus this year. It will consist of a free day-long ag festival, including farm tours and fun and educational activities for keiki, followed by a cooking demo and the much-anticipated evening food-tasting gala.
