Jinan Banna (HNFAS) has been selected as a Fulbright specialist to work with the Universidad Veritas in San Jose, Costa Rica, where she will be training faculty in course development for several courses in nutrition.

Animal scientist, CTAHR alumnus, and retired HNFAS professor Jim Carpenter has received the 2018 Outstanding Alumni Award from the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at the University of Vermont. Jim got his MS in Animal Nutrition from CTAHR in 1969 and returned to teach here after getting his PhD.

Last week, CTAHR’s Kaua‘i team and the Kaua‘i County Farm Bureau jointly hosted the 23rd Annual Agriculture & Environmental Awareness Day at the Kaua‘i Agricultural Research Center, with multiple exhibits and lectures for the 5th-grade students from local schools who attended.
