CTAHR’s new Computer Lab is available to students beginning March 27. Located in the Agricultural Science Building, Room 215, it will be open 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Each station allows a safe 6-foot distance from the next user. The computer lab will provide a printer and offer several of the features available at the CTAHR Student Lounge in Gilmore Hall, which will be closing.
There are several methods to make sure you’re getting the calls that come to your office phone, even from home, such as call forwarding, "Reach Me" voicemail message, and Voicemail-to-Email, which sends you an email containing an audio file of your voicemail messages. They're easy to set up, so do it today if you're working from home.
UHM Provost Michael Bruno and Interim Vice Chancellor French have issued a directive that if units still haven’t transitioned to working at home to the extent that they possibly can, “this needs to happen now.” They used strong wording: “This is not a voluntary change in how we conduct our work. There are very few exceptions that would indicate an employee cannot work from home.”
Healthcare workers are America’s frontline fighters in the war against COVD-19—but their supplies are getting desperately low. You can join CTAHR’s Department of Family and Consumer Sciences in helping to make washable, reusable masks that disposable N95 filters can be inserted in, which can significantly help protect the medical community and others who work with vulnerable populations.
