A Garden Isle Welcome

Welcome to Glenn Evans, the new Kaua‘i County Administrator! Glenn will be responsible for operating and maintaining the agricultural research station in Wailua and County Extension office in Līhu‘e, and will focus on assisting Kaua‘i County in accomplishing the college’s mission on Kaua‘i.

Glenn comes to Hawai‘i from Ithaca, New York, where he earned his B.S. in Plant Science and M.S. and Ph.D. in Horticulture from Cornell University.

Glenn brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his new position on Kaua‘i. Before coming here, he was the director of Agricultural Operations at the Cornell University Agricultural Experiment Station, where he managed nine research farm operations throughout New York, comprising over 4,000 acres of farmland, forests, orchards, and natural areas. He provided direct and indirect support to more than 300 faculty-led projects conducted each year across all operations.

He will be a valuable asset to CTAHR and the Kaua‘i community as he joins the team. Please extend your warmest aloha and welcome to Glenn!
