Canadian is All-American

Animal Sciences major and Rainbow Wahine middle hitter Emily Maglio received American Volleyball Coaches Association All-American honors for the 2017 season. The three-time all-Big West first team player from British Columbia is the 30th Rainbow Wahine to earn AVCA All-America honors. She is one of several Canadian student-athletes to study in Human Nutrition and Animal Sciences—a list that includes Alex Porlier Langlois, who ranked 9th in the nation in shotput and discus in 2015. 

Maglio, who hopes to become a veterinarian, has worked with HNFAS faculty members Chin Lee and Jinzeng Yang. She also competes for UH in beach volleyball.
