CTAHR students swept the poster presentation competition at UH Manoa’s first Plant Sciences Symposium. The student-run event was sponsored by CTAHR and DuPont Pioneer and featured speakers on the theme Phytobiomes for Sustainable Agriculture.

Rajesh Jha (HNFAS) recently offered a training course on “Feed and Nutrition Management” for a group of young ethnic-minority farmers in Nepal, in which he provided knowledge and hands-on skills on utilizing local feedstuffs and food waste as a sustainable source of feed for swine.

The ASAO recently hosted its second CTAHR Student–Faculty luncheon, where freshmen and transfer students had the opportunity to meet and chat with faculty and the dean and associate deans. It started off with a speed networking session, in which the faculty and leadership spent five minutes introducing themselves to small groups of students.
