Cherished traditions keep us going in difficult times. And come the 2020 holiday season, many of us in CTAHR will look forward to the beautiful, one-of-a-kind poinsettias grown by the Dept. of Tropical Plant and Soil Sciences.
Can aquaculture help repair Hawaiʻi’s economy and contribute to our food security? Will the same solutions work for island nations across the Pacific Basin? What projects could potentially improve our international competitiveness in aquaculture?
Congrats to Marie Kainoa Fialkowski Revilla of the Dept. of Human Nutrition, Food and Animal Sciences; Kellie Taguchi of the Academic and Student Affairs Office; and the UHM Food Science and Human Nutrition Program for its latest edition of Human Nutrition.
The Dept. of Molecular Biolosciences and Bioengineering has a new assistant professor, Dr. Zhi-Yan Du. Known as “Rock,” he comes to CTAHR from the University of Hong Kong by way of Michigan State University, where he served as a research assistant professor.
“The interrelationships between CTAHR departments, programs, and faculty are like a family tree: some are closely related, some are distant and may not cover the same areas you do.
