The CTAHR ‘ohana is invited to the annual CTAHR Fall Fair on Friday, September 21, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. in Gilmore Hall room 122. That’s the site of the new student lounge, and the fair will include its grand opening ceremony! The student lounge is an important addition to the college, giving students a safe place to meet, study, and learn.

Feeling Seedy?

Come to the Hawai‘i Seed Fest, providing “Local Seeds for Local Needs,” on Saturday, September 22, from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Waimanalo Research Station. There you can join local community conversations on the hows and whys of growing seeds specifically adapted for Hawai’i. Attendance is free, but advance registration is required.

Tern, Tern, Tern

For everything there is a season, and this is the season when terns are nesting and hatching. Rich Downs, founder of the White Tern Citizen Science group, will be leading a guided tour of terns and the trees they’re in on the UHM campus on Sunday, September 23, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Participants should meet in front of Sinclair Library.
