Symposium Milestone

CTAHR will be hosting the 30th Annual Student Research Symposium on April 6–7 in the Ag Sci building. To celebrate this anniversary, CTAHR will provide a special 30th Anniversary SRS Award of $2,000 to the top undergraduate, master’s, and Ph.D. oral and poster presenters. The 3-Minute Elevator Pitch Competition will also award additional monies to the top four winners. In total, more than $33,000 in awards will be granted this year, in addition to departmental awards! Open to all graduate and undergraduate students conducting scholarly work under the supervision of faculty in CTAHR and the UHM College of Engineering, the Symposium serves as a multi-disciplinary forum for the discussion and exchange of scholarly information. The number of student presenters has quadrupled over the years, from 34 in 1988 to 133 last year. Instructions on preparing and submitting abstracts and making presentations at the Symposium will be posted on the Symposium website.
