Mark your calendar for the 45th annual Albert L. Tester Memorial Symposium, which will be held Wednesday, April 22, through Friday, April 24, in Kuykendall Auditorium on the UH Mānoa campus.
This year’s Symposium theme, “Our Collective Knowledge,” focuses on integrating traditional science and modern research in Hawai‘i and beyond. It honors the ‘ōlelo no‘eau (Hawaiian proverb) that reads, “‘A‘ohe pau ka ‘ike i ka hālau ho‘okahi” (All knowledge is not learned in one school).
Presentation formats include 5-minute rapid-fire talks, 12-minute more in-depth talks, and a poster session. The Symposium will also feature events, speakers, and panel discussions on issues in science today. The Tester banquet will be held at the Bishop Museum the evening of Saturday, April 25.
