Samir Khanal (MBBE) recently returned from Indonesia, where he was invited to deliver a summer course and special lectures at Gadjah Mada University in Yogyakarta. He also participated in discussions with university representatives about research collaborations and student exchange possibilities.

Michael Kantar (TPSS) was quoted in a recent article in The Atlantic discussing a new study about nitrogen fixation in a particular variety of corn. Michael praised the study but pointed out that it doesn’t necessarily support the authors’ hope that other varieties of corn can be bred to have similar nitrogen-fixing properties.
