Yo, Zotero!
Brian Richardson, a reference librarian in Business, Humanities, and Social Sciences at Hamilton Library, will be conducting an online workshop on Zotero, a free and easy-to-use tool for collecting, organizing, and citing your research sources. It will be on Thursday, July 19, at 11 a.m. via Bluejeans software. Please email county administrator Susan Miyasaka at miyasaka@hawaii.edu if you are interested in attending. Also let her know whether you’d like to attend a workshop on Mendeley, an alternative software for organizing your research, because Brian is willing to organize one if there’s enough interest. The topics that Brian will cover in the Zotero workshop will include the following: adding citations to a Zotero library, organizing and managing citations using collections and tags, inserting citations and creating a bibliography in Microsoft Word, and adding annotations. The workshop will be held in Kuykendall 106 Events Room. Please note that participants must sign up for a Zotero account and install Zotero on their computers prior to the workshop.
