Child Welfare State
Specialist Marianne Berry (COF) brings her expertise to the Center on the Family’s Brown Bag seminar series with a presentation entitled “Innovative Strategies to Improve Child Protection Outcomes in Hawai‘i.” The talk will be in Miller Hall Room 2, at 12 noon on Friday, April 20. Marianne will discuss Hawai‘i’s Child Welfare branch of Human Services’ five-year demonstration to test new strategies to achieve the aims of the child welfare system, protecting children from maltreatment while supporting the family and community connections that are known to be critical to children’s healthy development. This presentation will present and discuss key findings from the first three years of this effort. Bring your lunch and learn!
