Gilmore Lawn Activity Molecular Biosciences and Bioengineering Learn about creating practical solutions to life's most important issues! Check out a microgreen seed planter, investigate how wireless environmental sensors work, inspect microscopic samples, and begin to understand life on a microscopic level with faculty, staff, and students from CTAHR’s Molecular Biosciences and Biotechnology (MBB) and Bioengineering (BE) Programs.
Gilmore Lawn Informational Natural Resources & Environmental Management CTAHR’s Natural Resources and Environmental Management (NREM) faculty and students will share academic information about their undergraduate programs and degree pathways.

Gilmore Lawn  Informational Ka Mea Kolo The Ka Mea Kolo Entomology Club is a student organization of undergraduate and graduate students interested in insects, especially those that have made Hawaiʻi their home. Learn about the Earth's most diverse creatures and their importance to our world.
Gilmore Lawn Informational CTAHR Ambassadors CTAHR Student Ambassadors are undergraduate and graduate students who work to recruit prospective students, encourage student interest and participation in CTAHR, and positively portray CTAHR to the University and community at large. Prospective students interested in CTAHR are encouraged to come and visit their booth to get a student’s perspective on what makes CTAHR amazing!
Gilmore Lawn Activity Horticulture Society The Tropical Plant and Soil Sciences Horticulture Society, or “Hort Society,” is an undergraduate club that promotes plant and soil activities such as growing and selling plants, hiking, visiting gardens, and networking. Come visit with undergraduate and graduate students to create a succulent planter made of recycled materials to bring home.
Gilmore Lawn Informational CTAHR Alumni Association & Friends The College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources Alumni Association (CTAHRAA) and Friends was established in 1989 for graduates, former students, faculty, staff, and friends of the University of Hawaii College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources. CTAHRAA is a volunteer association committed to supporting CTAHR and linking to the larger community here in Hawai‘i and abroad.
Gilmore Lawn Activity SOFT / SOAP CTAHR’s Outreach Programs, led by Dr. Ted Radovich from our Tropical Plant and Soil Sciences department: (1) Sustainable Organic Farm Training (SOFT) and (2) Sustainable Organic Agriculture Program (SOAP) will be on-site to engage participants with a Seed Matching Game and a Potting your Seedling activity. Visitors will also learn more about aquaponics through a mini 3-gallon display with aquarium fish and lettuce heads.

Hawaiʻi Botanical Society
Test your plant knowledge and play botanical trivia with Bot Soc! Answer correctly and win a prize! The Hawaiʻi Botanical Society was founded in 1924 to bring together those interested in the plant species that are found across the Hawaiian archipelago. Visitors can learn about interesting plant species, what makes a species native, and whether weeds really are bad. For fun plant facts and botanical history follow us on Instagram @hibotsoc!

Gilmore Lawn Activity SNAP-Ed / EFNEP Can you construct a healthy meal? The USDA Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education (SNAP-ED) and the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) are part of the Hawaiʻi Nutrition Center (HNC), a hub for local recipes, nutrition, healthy-living programs, and resources. Join Dr. Jeannie Butel to learn the truth about what’s in our food and beverages and then put that knowledge to use at home!
Gilmore Lawn Exhibit Master Gardeners The CTAHR Extension Master Gardener program is an official volunteer program of the University of Hawaiʻi Cooperative Extension Service. They are dedicated to disseminating local, research-based information to assist home gardeners in decisions that affect themselves, our neighbors, and our local and global environment. CTAHR Extension Agent Tina Lau will provide information on various resistant crop varieties, an introduction to fertilizers, and information regarding static hydroponic systems. Come prepared to learn about all things to get you started on your home garden!
Gilmore Lawn Activity GoFarm Hawaii GoFarm Hawaiʻi, a CTAHR Extension Program, has grown to become one of the country’s largest and most successful beginning farmer training programs. GoFarm Hawaiʻi supports the business needs of Hawaiʻi’s local agriculturalists by providing one-on-one business consulting and technical assistance to agricultural producers throughout the state. At Discover Mānoa, the GoFarm Team will teach participants how to build floral/bouquet arrangements they can bring home.
