Landscape Management

The Ornamentals and Landscape Management Extension Program at UGC offers training, workshops, and educational materials and events to support the green industry in Hawaii. The program works closely with organizations that represent the various sectors of the green industry. Examples of areas of work: workforce development, strengthening the lei industry, edible plants and fruit trees in landscaping, pesticide safety, and management of invasive species in the urban landscape.

🌳 October 2nd, Koolau Ballrooms: LICH 2025 Green Industry State Conference and Expo This event focuses on education, promoting new technology, and collaboration.  We will have over 25 speakers during 16 sessions in the areas of Nursery & Design, Pests, Arborists, and Business Management. 🌺 October 8, 8am to 10:30am: Work day at UGC. Help tend the plumeria collection and lei plants in the lei garden, and transplant rooted cuttings in the greenhouse.
