To provide exceptional transdisciplinary education, research, and extension in tropical agriculture, natural resources, and human well-being to local and global communities.
VISION STATEMENT
CTAHR Vision Resilience 2035. Our draft vision calls for “doubling Hawaiʻi’s food and agricultural product self-sufficiency in 10 years, while strategically increasing exports of high-value products and resilience of ecosystems, communities, and families, through collaborative innovation.”
The draft goals are:
- Increasing Hawaiʻi’s Food and Agricultural Product Self-Sufficiency and Resiliency.
- Enhancing Hawaiʻi’s Agricultural Biosecurity and Ecosystem Resilience.
- Driving Innovation and Sustainability in Fashion, Specialty Products, and Merchandising.
- Building CTAHR’s CARES Stations as Hubs of Collaborative Innovation for Community Prosperity.
- Building Youth, Family, and Community Resilience.
- Building the Modern and Resilient Workforce.
Office Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (except holidays). All visitors must check in at the Main Office. Self tours are no longer offered due to staffing shortages.
