Our CTAHR ʻohana are advocates for creating more resilient families and schools. Five students from the Human Development and Family Studies (HDFS) program—Sarah Ireland, Athena Huynh, Trisha Gilmete, Kelee Aizawa-Smith, and Nicholas Rulon—recently showcased their vital research on the absence of LGBTQIA+ sex education in Hawaiʻi’s public schools. They impressed the Hawaiʻi State LGBTQ+ Commission with their presentation and insights. Watch their presentation here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H71yDhuaphY
