Visit With a Visiting Scholar

Visit With a Visiting Scholar
Fulbright scholar S.M. Kamruzzaman will give two lectures on animal science on Monday, July 2. The first lecture, at 10 a.m., will be on “Medicinal Plants with Anti-Platelet Activity.” The second, at 2:00 p.m. on the same day, will focus on “Transboundary Animal Diseases in South Asia: Concerns and Challenges.” Both lectures will be in AgSci 219. Dr. Kamruzzaman has been doing research on platelet biology at Sol Sherry Thrombosis Research Center at Temple University, where he is a visiting scholar, but normally he is a professor and the chairman of the Department of Veterinary and Animal Sciences at the University of Rajshahi in Bangladesh. He is internationally known for his work on platelet biology and transboundary animal diseases. He has a keen interest in sharing this information and discussing potential research collaborations with researchers at CTAHR. Please contact Birendra Mishra (HNFAS) at bmishra@hawaii.edu if you would like to meet him.
