Get Your Story On

Sign up for a science communication workshop

Get Your Story On

Stories are powerful. Whether hilarious or heartbreaking, subversive or soothing, they reflect who we are and what matters to us. For a community, it deeply matters what stories are told.

Come to a very special hands-on workshop to learn about the art and science of storytelling from the amazing Story Collider team. You’ll walk away from this workshop with one fully developed story—a 3- to 5-minute true, personal story about your research, education, or life experiences related to science.

You might use it in future talks and presentations, or perhaps you’ll tell it on a Story Collider stage someday. You’ll get to experience both the personal side of performance and learn how storytelling skills might integrate into your other science communication activities.

Sign up here for the workshop, which will be given on October 31, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the UH Manoa iLab. You can contact Michael Kantar at mbkantar@hawaii.edu with any questions.
