The Best Food

Getting hungry? Well, if you’re on the UHM campus, you’re in luck—did you know the campus’s food is rated as the best in the country, according to Forbes Magazine? And this is thanks in no small part to Donna Ojiri, an alumna of HNFAS’ FSHN program, who runs the Sodexo Hawaii food service program.

According to the story, under Donna’s direction Sodexo’s customer satisfaction rating went from 84% to 94%. Her secret? Listening to students and being responsive to their needs. The cafeteria uses 30% locally sourced produce, which is twice the state average, and is working to raise that percentage more. Click here for KHON’s report on the honor.
