The mini-conference will provide project updates on the following:

  • Fish effluent waste from aquaponics to improve soil health and reduce dependence on imported fertilizers, by Jensen Uyeda;
  • Relationship between soil health and weed suppression, by Koon-Hui Wang;
  • Which sorghum/sorghum-sudangrass hybrids have higher allelopathic toxicity against soil-borne pests, by Roshan Paudel;
  • What trap crops and entomopathogenic nematodes offer for diamondback moth and imported cabbage worm management, by Sabina Budhathoki and Koon-Hui Wang; and
  • Trap crops and insectary plants for pest management in Brassicaceae, by Roshan Manandhar.

The workshop is limited to producers and is not open to the general public. Register here.
