Let's Make Lei!

With CTAHR’s 2020 Convocation coming up (and the holidays), your CTAHR Alumni Association and Friends invites you to learn how to make ti leaf lei.

CTAHR alumna Samantha Alvarado will lead this fun and informative webinar on Saturday, December 12^th @ High Noon (12:00 p.m.). To participate:

• Register now
• Pick about 20 Ti leaves, at least 24 hours before the class.*
• Watch the first minute of this video on preparing leaves, 24 hours prior to the class.**

Remember:

* To pick a Ti leaf, hold the stalk of the plant and pull one leaf at a time in a downward motion. Cutting leaves off is bad for the plant and if the middle leaf is broken, the plant cannot grow from the top anymore.

** Only wash, roll, and freeze half of your leaves, per the video. Leave the other half fresh (not frozen), just wipe down with water and a soft towel.
