This Monday is the 31st Annual Student Research Symposium, which brings together graduate and undergraduate students from across the college to present their research in the areas of Product Design and Business; Sustainability & Conservation; Food Systems, Security, & Safety; and Biotechnology.

• Time: 8:00 a.m.–1:30 p.m.
• Location: UHM Campus Center Ballrooms and 3rd Floor Rooms 307, 308, 309 and 310.

This year’s program not only includes creative pieces for the first time; it also emphasizes communication to a general audience. The mission of the SRS is to challenge students to engage the public by presenting their research in just five minutes in language appropriate to a lay audience. At the same time, it continues to serve as a multi-disciplinary forum for the discussion and exchange of scholarly information.

In celebration of a new Symposium format, the college will be providing more than $20,000 in awards exclusively to CTAHR students.
