A Better Way

Consider joining the Men’s March Against Violence! The event, which takes place on Thursday, October 4, will begin at the State Capitol Rotunda at 11:45 a.m. with a remembrance ceremony honoring victims who have died because of domestic violence in the past year. The March will leave from the Capitol at 12:00 noon and end with a rally featuring guest speakers at ‘Iolani Palace. Every October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and the Men’s March seeks to inspire participation in a community event that focuses attention on the need for both men and women to become involved with ending the abuse. The March shows that when people unite, together we can build a safe and healthy community and put an end to domestic violence in the community. The March has lots of University support, including from President David Lassner and Dean Nick Comerford; in fact, UH is one of its presenting organizations. This is the 24th year of the March; let’s make sure it’s not needed for too many more.
