Wet and Wild

CTAHR held its 6th annual Spring Event on Friday, February 23, when over 100 students, faculty, and staff came out for free food, fun, and games. This year’s booths featured fun games created by TPSS GSO, FSHN Council, Phi Upsilon Omicron, Ka Mea Kolo, and the CTAHR Ambassadors, partnering with the Blood Bank of Hawaii. There was yummy shave ice and, of course, the traditional dunk booth! Big thanks to superhero volunteers Ania Wieczorek (Associate Dean, ASAO), Michael Kantar (TPSS), Birendra Mishra (HNFAS), Travis Idol (NREM), Daniel Jenkins (MBBE), and Michael Melzer (PEPS) for volunteering to get dunked! They were doused a total of 45 times in just 1 and a half hours, with Birendra holding a high score of 11 plunges into the water! Mahalo to Ryan Kurasaki and Terrance Kai for assisting with food arrangements and supplies and to the Grounds and Facilities crew—Paul De Soto, Craig Yoshimoto, and Alan Oshiro—for helping with set-up. Also, great thanks to Janice Uchida (PEPS) for donating the beautiful potted plants for prizes. Mahalo to the Spring Event student committee, Jaclyn Lee and Michelle Au, and the CTAHR scholarship recipients volunteers for their hard work! Lastly, thank you to SAPFB and ASAO for sponsoring a successful event. Check out more photos here.
