The four collections of original clothing design will get their world premiere on May 1, so for now, the photo and video you see here are just glimpses of what’s to come at “Vogue 56,” the 56th Annual Fashion Show.
Set for May 1 on UHM campus, the show will be entirely run by undergrad students of the Fashion Design and Merchandising Program in the Dept. of Family and Consumer Sciences.
“Our FDM student designers have worked extremely hard to develop unique and cool designs brought to life in the stunning handmade pieces they’ve created, and the fashion show production team has been equally busy planning the event to showcase these beautiful garments,” says Sophie Antoniuk of the Fashion Show Production team.
She adds, “Since we were unable to present an in-person runway show for the last two years due to the global pandemic, we are so happy to be having this year’s show live and in-person, an opportunity for the entire community to come together and celebrate fashion and all that it inspires.”
THIS JUST IN: the FDM students’ Rainbow Bazaar, part II to help support the Fashion Show will be held March 19, 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at the Japanese Cultural Center of Hawaiʻi.
