CTAHR Faculty: send the word, because your students may want to join a research team that will design, measure, analyze, and interpret data through a hand-on research experience this summer.
Research and Extension Experiences for Undergraduates, an Education and Workforce Development program of the USDA’s Agriculture and Food Research Initiative, is seeking undergraduate applicants for this 8-week, in-person program to be held June 6-July 29.
Did I mention it comes with a $3,500 stipend, plus expenses? Perfect for that starving student!
“Last summer, we kicked off our summer undergraduate paid internship program in Data Driven Agriculture – it was a big success!” says Tai Maaz. “It’s perfect for students attending any 2-year or 4-year accredited college/university with an interest in plant, data, or computer science research.”
She adds, “We strongly encourage Pacific Islanders, underrepresented minority students, and first-generation college students to apply because this program is designed to meet the needs of Hawaiʻi and the Pacific Islands.”
Students must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Applications are due February 28. For more info, visit REEU or contact Tai at reeu@hawaii.edu.
